First articles now online
13 November 2008
The first Advance Articles for Integrative Biology are now available online! This innovative new journal from RSC Publishing promises to bring together scientists focusing on quantitative multi-scale biology using enabling technologies and tools to exploit the convergence of biology with physics, chemistry, engineering, imaging and informatics.
Mina Bissell from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, reviews human mammary progenitor cell fate decisions, while Douglas Kell (Manchester Centre for Integrative Systems Biology at the University of Manchester) reports on the analysis of aptamer binding sequence-activity relationships using micro-arrays. An article on genome-wide transcriptome analysis of 150 cells samples from Mehmet Toner at Harvard Medical School makes up just a part of the initial release of articles. To view all the articles click on the 'Advance Articles' link in the journal navigation panel to the left.
Integrative Biology is one of two new journals to join RSC Publishing's prestigious portfolio. The online publication of the journal's first issue is anticipated shortly, and will be freely available online. Institutional online access to all 2009 and 2010 content will be freely available on registration. Readers will also benefit from enhanced HTML articles via the award winning RSC Prospect (including, structure and sub-structure searching, hyperlinked compound information and many more useful features).
